Meet our Staff
Pr Rob & Ann Walsh
Senior Pastor
Rob was converted to Christ in 1983, leaving behind a life marked by alcohol and drug abuse. After entering full-time ministry in 1986, he was appointed Senior Pastor of The Potter’s House Parramatta in April 1990, a role he continues to serve in faithfully.
Through Pastor Rob’s diligent preaching and strong commitment to evangelism and discipleship, the church has experienced significant growth and has planted a number of churches.
Pastor Rob and his wife Ann, have been married for over 40 years. They have three married adult sons and 10 grandchildren. Two of their sons are in pastoral ministry, while their third son holds ministry responsibilities within the Parramatta church.
Pr David & Sam Walsh
Assistant Pastor
Dave was raised in a Christian family and from an early age, understood what Jesus had done for him on the cross. Growing up in a church made up largely of converts, he witnessed first hand the destructive impact sin can have on people’s lives.
As a result, while still a teenager, Dave chose to surrender his life to Jesus and received Him as his Lord and Saviour.
From that moment, he sensed a clear calling on his life. He later married Sam and together they pioneered a church in Camden, faithfully serving there for many years. Since returning to Parramatta, they have taken on the ministry role of Assistant Pastor.
Ev Rod & Tyanne Gibson
Evangelist
Born in Sydney, Australia, to parents of mixed heritage from the Fiji Islands, Rod was raised in a traditional South Pacific environment shaped by church, music, family and culture.
Later, after moving to Newcastle, he began exploring a very different path - experimenting with alcohol, drugs, the music lifestyle and a wide range of spiritual influences, including Eastern mysticism and martial arts. Everything changed, however, on the day he encountered Jesus.
Ev Rod has been serving as an evangelist from Parramatta Church for many years, travelling extensively around the world to preach the gospel.
Jerome & Bianca Apostol
Outreach Director
Jerome grew up in a broken home, facing challenges that shaped much of his early life. Despite the instability around him, he encountered the message of Jesus at a young age, and that moment became a turning point for his future.
Choosing to give his life to Christ, Jerome found hope, purpose and direction that he hadn’t experienced before. What began as a simple decision of faith grew into a lifelong commitment to follow God wholeheartedly.
Since then, Jerome has remained faithful in serving God in the Parramatta church, dedicating his life to living out his faith and encouraging others to do the same.
